Album of the year for me no questions asked. Everything I love about DGD is upped to 11 here

Tight, passionate, relentless, catchy, funky, heavy. Love it. Perfect mix of Happiness/Acceptance Speech/IG but even more technical. The drumming here is a surprise highlight for me.

Frozen One needs to last forever. Fantastic. Inspire the Liars fizzles a bit once he moans "let's start a re-li-gun" for a minute and a half but still neato.

Philosopher King slays. Euphoric when they all go to 11 for brief moments.

Tillian has grown so much as a vocalist. Nailing it.

Someone here earlier who never listened to DGD before said it sounds like "Anberlin & Protest the Hero", and I kind of like that comparison despite it being a touch off base. The more he can sound like Stephen Christian the better. His yells/screams are surprisingly good.

"Philosopher King" is so heavy that it makes "Carve" and "Shark Dad" sound like a bunch of teletubbies circle jerking one another. Album is so good it's not even funny.

Charlie from Sweden is that you?

EDIT: Nevermind yeah it is. I was like "I swear to god I just read that circle jerk comment two minutes ago on YouTube..."

I remember IG had the same 4.1-4.2 initial rating then dropped heavily when all the non diehards got around to listening to it.

There's a glitch on my rating for this, easiest 5 of the year and it's put up a 1

Tillian sounds great on this but in every other respect it's lame as fuck

Will's vocal bits used to be hilarious now they're just depressingly terrible

Does he (try to) rap here?

But anyway his screams had their moments in Happiness.

he has like one half-hearted rap verse where they throw in a godawful Hotline Bling and reference and then kind of sadly fades away while Mess comes back in

honestly his screams were fucking mint and the few moments he and Mess did them in tandem on DBMII are the highlight of this discography

Yeah I remember quite liking his screams on songs like NASA. But for me the climactic Craig moments on DBM still claim the discography gold medal and nothing I've heard from the Kurt or Tilian eras can match it or even come close (in the case of the latter).
