misanthropic is probably the more accurate term. those kvlts might despise mankind but they love their nature. Anyway listen to Darkspace its the best of both styles

"Misanthropic" and "nihilistic (moral or existential)" can both describe black metal and the attitudes of a lot of people who made it (particularly in the second wave) pretty well.

That's just like his opinion, man. I had to lower my rating to a 4.0. I was in a mood when I first heard it and it pulled me along the way I wanted it to, but coming back to it hasn't produced the same effect on repeated listens. I still think it's his best full length, but, that split he just released was better.
