I 3.5/5 like it. 'Sardines' is ok, a bit flat as an opener but I get that's intentional. 'Pyramid Song' is a classic Radiohead song I respect a lot but don't love, Door song is a B-Side, Army is a good song but dull tonal palette again, and I Might Be Wrong is an average song dressed up in really nice production. Knives Out is old school Radiohead and an ok album cut.

Album Rating: 2.5
Pretty much as attested by my Top 100 Radiohead songs where I don't think anything from this was in the top 30. Kid A was pristine and this album has always sounded like rummaging round the back of the sofa in comparison.

This and Kid A are so close ugh

Amnesiac's more subtle, jazzy, and takes bigger risks, I love Kid A, but this is the better one to me.

@claygurnz
"Wow people do not like this review lol. You gonna keep reviewing the discog?"
Of course. I never stop till I am finished. Plus I know half of the negs are mostly because of this:
"I want to underline the fact that, although I disagree with the review's rating, the reason I negged this review was that it was written by CaliggyJack"

I negged it because the comparisons to Pablo Honey and The Bends made no sense and that you didn't mention the main theme of jazz that the album has that made it unique from other Radiohead releases, yet kept calling it not unique.

There's not much jazz on this album

Not on the whole, but the elements are there

Album Rating: 3.5 | Sound Off
Amensiac is like Kid A x OK Computer + The Bends / Pablo Honey = Amnesiac
Basically this review in a nut shell

I'd still say National Anthem is jazzier than anything here. The thing I like about that tune is make it an instrumental it still sounds like Radiohead and fits on Kid A. Make Glasshouse an instrumental and it could be another band in all honesty.

Take the bassline from "The National Anthem" and the song makes no sense

I used to irritate my music teacher by playing that bassline on loop

Personally, I like the album. Almost all their albums are good.
