my personal favorite would be Track 7, because it's the most angry song on the album, and heavily inspired by "Bitches Brew" by Crosses and "You Make Me Sick" by Of Mice and Men. This song is the only song where screams dominate, and is the only song that draws from my metalcore influence. Focusing on grooving riffs and high shrieks combined with deep growling style vocals. This song's a manifestation of how my brain feels when my anxiety gets to a point where it turns into anger, the feeling of everything around me heating up to almost unbearable temperatures, the urge to slam my head and fists into any wall or door that's nearby. I rarely get this angry, but when I do, I have to wrap my hands in towels so that I don't do too much damage to the walls.

Son of a bitch, I read the first bit and then went to look at the CD case to find out what track seven is, before reading on and realising what that was :/

To each their own my man. Just couldn't get into this at all. On the bright-side, I adore your dig.

Never really listened to this much after the week of release. Might drop to a 3. I know it's not fair to ask but honestly another album like their self-titled would be amazing.

the production on this was definitely a step back. kvelertak's previous production was more suitable for their style of sound, it had a lot more punch.

Their first album is a hell of a ride, very triumphant all along. Although people didn't seem to enjoy the second one quite as much, it was still very enjoyable to me, and the singles were fire. This new release is tasteless, the guitar work is noticeably less intricate than the previous albums, most of the time the three guitars are playing the same thing simultaneously, and the whole thing sounds like it's been recorded with some iphones and a call of duty headset while keeping the amps covered with towels. I really don't get most of the production choices behind this album.

Their concert was awesome though, the new songs sounded so much better than on the album and the performance was engaging. If you have the chance to see them even if you didn't like the new album, just go, you won't regret it.
