One reason I might have thought this was so good is the context in which I listened to it first. I listened to it between 1-2 AM when I'm happy and more open. I was dancing and singing along to a lot of these songs during that time. If I had listened to it in the morning, I may have been more pissy and less forgiving.

you kinda need to be blind to think there's nothing wrong with Kanye

his mind has just slowly been disintegrating since his mom passed away and a fuckin' monkey could see that

After two listens its still strong. Album still utilizes modern rap shite like those damn high hats and lyrics vary, but theres still a lot of aspects I enjoyed and I like almost every song, the second half being my favorite. Might drop this to a 3.5 in time but I'm actually liking this a lot right now. PS this is coming from a person who gave Yeezus a 3

I also gave Yeezus a 3. But I don't see this as any better than Yeezus. Alot of filler tbh...

Kanye West still remastering T.L.O.P. tracks, may cut the length of some tracks, "final version to be released in the next few days"

This gets 1 point knocked off since I had to sign up for TIDAL.

so far this sucks; this initial hype reminds me of when miley cyrus put out her last outing. its like the new cool thing to praise the well known pop artist right when their new stuff drops, even though it contains no beauty or does anything we haven't heard before (this album, at 5 tracks in, is comparable to ded petz in that its super boring yet people gobble it up like its actually a cool jam)

just an observation. feelfree to disagree

Kanye is big enough to afford it, Tidal became the #1 most downloaded app in the world immediately once the album came out and the stream had over 20 million views

That doesn't necessarily mean they all got to buy the album tho given how Tidal actually works but it's obvious that that was because of him since no one used Tidal before him even with Jay-Z promoting it

ya Jay-Z is still one of the most famous and talked about rappers in the world despite how few music he actually does and the fact that he's been saying he's a business man over a rapper since forever
