I didn't mind the repetitive patterns, as the riffs were quite enjoyable. Isn't repetition core to most BM? I mean Tranny Hunger is basically like 8 different tremmed chords and is one of the best bm songs ever

there's such a thing as too much with this particular type of BM but i typically don't mind

The repetition isn't a problem for me, but like I said, nothing pulls me in. The atmosphere just isn't there imo.

Listened to a couple songs on youtube and think this might be for me. Hey, Ov, what should I check out by Vemod?

Repetition is core to black metal, but there's a huge difference between able to sustain an interesting segment repeatedly and a terrible segment being repeated to the point where it feels endless and droll.

I know, in the same spirit (sry bad pun) I was trying to say that the ideas and patterns repeated here were interesting, thus justifying their repetition. I still have to do more repeated listens to see if they sill hold my attention

Repetition is part of the atmosphere for tons of bm

first wave no

second wave and on, yea

it was the second wave stuff that started the trend. all the first wave stuff was thrashy shifting riffs

I'm liking it a lot. I thought it would get old quick, but it hasn't. I'm gonna give it a couple weeks and rate it.
