This was a low 3 for me on first listen, now it's a solid 3.5, hopefully you have a similar experience bud

At first listen I found this very enjoyable and after some time I felt the need to spin it again and it really klicked somehow. It always depends to quite a large extent on the mood you're in. A glas of whiskey isn't bad either to dive in for sure :] For me it's a solid 4 atm.

Its a total beauty innit Rowan
Yeah man, further listens really help a lot of songs stand out here, this is pretty much Lanegan in top form imo.

An amazing album. Though they were released four years apart, "The Winding Sheet" and this one both came out at times when I seemed to need Mark's music. Classic.

As much as I like artists evolving, I wish Mark would return to more of an acoustic approach rather than the synth-driven stuff he has experimented with for the past few years.

''Borracho'' hits hard. Sounds like an alcoholic in emotional anguish, which I guess was true for him at the time. His voice is striking and distinct and smokey sounding. Like he had played in a million bars in the south with some blues guys in new orleans and mississippi before he recorded the song.
Awesome.

A truly underrated work. Booze soaked regret and delivered with a smokey rough voice. Nobody did shit like Mark Lanegan did.
