bad album, doesn't deserve to be reviewed

It's not meant to be a statement that hurts your feelings lol. I genuinely think people here have inflated egos and say stupid biting/sarcastic comments like yours.

This doesn't even feel like a review. Just seems like facts pulled about albums sales on wikipedia for bands that fell apart from their earlier stuff.

You guys should really reevaluate what a review CAN be instead of focusing on what it has been. Reviews should be able to discuss more than just blatantly laying out the sound of an album -- especially one like this, an album that's been out for some time and has been discussed to death insofar as its music.

Like, are you really that bent out of shape that I didn't discuss how The Mirror's Truth sounds? Or talk about what genre of music this falls under? Or any other number of arbitrary descriptors for an album that (let's face it) pretty much everyone who's commented on here has heard, yourself included

Simple solution to that is to not review an album like this that has been reviewed to death. I get what you mean but nobody on this site is going to care to read about sales throughout the review without any idea what the album is like. It's no problem to include this but when the whole review is based upon selling out, it's not really a review any longer.

I never negged this review or sad it was bad, just that it didn't really feel like a review. I'm pretty neutral on it because like many people said, you can write.

I've encountered a very decent amount of reviews on this site that have discussed more about how the album makes them feel rather than how it sounds, or any other important context surrounding it - most of them all met with praise. The ones that were met with the most scorn were the negative ones. I think there's something to be said of that.

But fair enough. I've gotten a little agitated this and put up a wall as a result. Again, it doesn't matter to me how many people voted for the review being well written, I just hate it when people come in to rail on it without giving any reasoning for it. If that's indicative of the general Sputnik Music user then I probably don't want to be here.

literally though album is perfect and people are really this mad even years later just for the band making a more mainstream sounding record, then their negative opinion is only encouraged by the masses who all circlejerk their ratings into the ground, sad that people can't appreciate a true masterpiece such as this out of unwillingness to change and groupthink. #wakeupsheeple

@marinatchae music can be discussed from numerous aspects, it's not all about the general sound or individual songs. you make a decent point in the review but it isn't really relevant enough to be the main idea behind the review

To be honest I dislike poor reviews even if they're negative ones, that's a shitty excuse not to write well. I don't think this review is bad though, even if it doesn't cover the music. I would just keep in mind that if someone who'd never heard the album before had read this, they wouldn't really have a clue as to what it sounded like. That might not be a big deal for this album because it already has many reviews and it's gotten plenty of attention, but normally it wouldn't fly. I think you should keep reviewing though.

I dig this album. Not their best but it has jams.
