I just want to point out, that this is one of the best reviews i've read for an album. I've read a lot, and this is really informative, accurate, and most of all honest.
This must have been a mammoth task, and I applaud you on your effect.
I've started listening to the second disk, 3 tracks in and I still really like it.

Brilliant review I enjoyed the read, Just brought the CD today and Iam pleased to say iam enjoying it. Seems complacent at times but there's no doubt this is a excellent album. Not as good as Californication but better than By The Way.

Oh yeah, I bought this CD at 7:00 this morning and am lovin' it. It took me until just recently to get into By the Way, but I am getting into a majority of this one right away. The Chili Peppers have some of the best music around nowadays.
