I think the closest to a weak cut this album has is Tombeau but even then it is still pretty good. Although, I am hoping it grows on me a bit more soon.

Just translates some of the bands lyrics and they are really good. Especially Bezoar, which is strangely dark despite the happy sounding chorus. Somehow Bezoar has gotten even better. BA-BA-BA-DA, BA-BA-BA-DA. Anyway, the songs on Eskapist also have great lyrics too.

Their lyrics are usually very strong, especially on Anamnesis due to its more narrative-driven approach. The last song on that alb in particular is a gut punch.

As a native I always found their lyrics a bit lacking im grammar and coherence, but I like the themes and topics and messages, so it's okay

I am also quite happy they moved away from the more emo approach to their lyrics. Doing that is okay in and of itself, but I don't really like this approach anymore

The appeal is precisely in how well they're able to blend their various influences, if that doesn't come across then yeah the band isn't for you. Nothing straightforward here.
