just mindblowing that they have a stretch of six perfect songs from zoei to automation structures on here.

not only perfect but all unique.

This is such a gift that keeps on giving

What is the new album, and is it actually an album or a remix / comp?

it's a re-recording of their first album The Visitors from Deepspace. they even brought back the original members for it.

ah fairs. did they have plans to do any of the others (no need for it, but curious all the same)?

nah pretty sure this was just like a one-off nostalgia trip with the old crew. hope they dont take too long to get back to all-new material (this was kind of a weird detour from Rabbit and the 2019 singles but not complaining, i enjoyed it)

lmao cool shit. only jammed the debut a couple of times, but I might check anyway. honestly wouldn't mind that much if they never release another album proper, this is such a satisfying conclusion to their LPs as are

This is so nuts. Got a list of albums to listen to, started with this and now on fifth play through!

Makes me think of Mew if Mew were into metal riffs, d&b and post rock.

Starting off with this band with No Thank U, guess it's the wrong place to start, but that's what the Gods have told me to do.

Idk, enjoying it very much, that alt metalcore part got me, ngl, thought this band was gonna be exclusively shoegaze.

I was so wrong...

It’s pretty good as it happens (just checked). An unusual hodgepodge of genres but surprisingly cohesive for the most part. Wasn’t as convinced by a couple of the cuts in the 2nd half, but the start is certainly encouraging.

Ryus jam Come Over to the Deepend it's the secret best and has most of their strongest gaze tracks

This brings the chugs a little too hard at the start and yh gets a little erratic towards the end (though Evil Line has massively grown on me - catchy jank thrash done exactly right), but phwoar probs has the greatest centre of gravity of all their shit
