These guys were one of my favourite bands growing up. The songwriting here is simply amazing. I don't like them that much anymore since they went mainstream, I'm not saying they suck now, the new stuff just doesn't do anything for me. I agree with what Foodforthegods said, every song on here could have been released as a single, not a filler in sight. This is a great cd. "Otherside" would have to be my favourite. The video is cool too. This Message Edited On 05.03.08

Too many big singles. Album got tired real quick. And I swear if I hear Otherside on the radio one more time Im gonna punch Anthony Keidis in his neck. And this is one of my favorites groups no less.

Otherside is some kind of awesome tbh.

But the best song on the album might have to be Quixoticelixir, which isn't even on the albm really (bonus track) but my god that track is soooo good. Why it was excluded from this album is beyond me, there are so many tracks here it could've replaced.

Nope. I've never passed up a chance to listen to that song and I shall never skip passed it. (iPod speaking)

You know what?

I've been an RHCP fan for like more than 6 years. I've been addicted massively.

And you know what I found out like 2 minutes ago? Emit Remmus is Summer Time backwards.

that's weird. I really love Stadium Arcadium, but thought by the way was average. Exept a few killer songs like the title track and throw away your television.

This is their best album no question. The love people give for Stadium Arcadium... it was alright, but it's mostly filler with some decent singles here und there.

The order - Californication, Blood Sugar, By The Way, Stadium... and the rest are worth a little more than the toilet paper i wipe my ass with.

I used to really love this album but it's grown off me so much. After the brilliant first 6 songs the last 9 are kinda lackluster in comparison (other than this Velvet Glove and maybe Purple Stain or Road Trippin). I can't bring myself to give this lower than a 3.5 though cuz its a really fun listen.

Oh and one of the bonus songs on this album, Quixoticelixir, is honestly the best song here besides the title track. If any of you havent heard it, you should check it out.

I think the second half is underrated tbh, This Velvet Glove, Emit Remmus, I Like Dirt and Purple Stain are all awesome. Only below par tracks here are Porcelain (which isn't actually that bad, but dosen't really fit well on the album) and (Parrallell Universe - would have been better on the second half I think). Everything else is gold.

Hopefully if civilization isn’t wiped out in a million years from now they will be able to experience the greatness of this album. Porcelain, will always remind me of being 18 in my 1st vehicle with an ecstasy pill hangover. The album it’s self is so nostalgic for me , another good ol’ memory is me 18 yrs old 1st apartment 10x10 efficiency shanty smoking a Black and Mild sipping vodka just escaping the weight of world to this album. I did a lot of drugs @ 18, I was a naughty boy

This and stadium arcadium were the first albums i ever got. This is the much better release of the two, really kick started my love of music to an extent. Don't really listen to it much anymore, but it is a very good album
