While I've always been a big Leviathan fan, this may be the first release of his where I can truly say every single song is solid and it all flows so well together from song to song. And just absolutely crushing atmosphere throughout, which isn't really new for Wrest I suppose but it's just REALLY prevalent on this.

I listened to this again this afternoon, and I enjoyed it a bit more the second time around.
I think that going into it expecting a black metal album was the wrong thing to do (similar to Deathspell Omega). It's just some filthy and disgusting metal with tons of stuff going on at once.

Check out Mitochondrion if you haven't. Their work isn't the best, but it's a dizzying experience. It's a bit along the same line.
