Excuse pretty much everyone reviewing this album. Who the hell are you to comment hate about this

amazing record? Smoke + Mirrors is definitely life changing and is great in every single way, and a

beautiful sophomore album to Night Visions. Okay, maybe you don't get into this type of music, but do

you honestly have to speak so damn low about it? Maybe, just maybe, Imagine Dragons is some people's

worlds including mine, and were the only people there for them. Yeah, Smoke + Mirrors sounds different

and doesn't sound like their old music, but if they wanted this new record to sound exactly like Night

Visions, don't you think they would've named it, "Night Visions 2"? They have guts to experiment and

try something new. Smoke + Mirrors is underrated and deserves so much more credit than what you

judgmental people are giving it. Much love and respect to my dragons, you did it again. xoxo

I have the feeling that Imagine Dragons have been chosen by hardcore music fans as "trash talk" targets, just for the reason of being "poppy". My question is simple: how much of these ratings were the result of an objective analysis of this LP? Now, I'm gonna listen to this album on Spotify for a couple of times, I really hope that this LP won't be as outrageous as you described it...

You can read my comments the last few pages, I've been a fan of the band's stuff and not a detractor. This record isn't terrible but certainly doesn't have any standout tracks like Night Visions. I'm disappointed it's more or less more of the same, and very little growth is shown from their past release.



They're still a young band, and far from terrible, but this is about as average as it gets.

I worked a radio station in college. We got about 50-100 cds a week, mostly unsigned or new up and coming bands. After listening through about 10 random mailed in cds you would be begging to spin Imagine Dragons.

i can understand why you think people are overreacting when they claim that they are one of the worst bands ever but you have to acknowledge the term "offensively inoffensive" or "offensively average" (and this band falls under both), where the music is so bland or inoffensive that you start crying for some originality or abrasiveness. aside from the usage of a ukelele in some songs off night visions, this band is so tepid and unoriginal that i'd rather hear 20 electric drills going off at once than hear one of their songs play.

and i'd also rather hear any new-coming band (whether their good or not) before listening to a single imagine dragons song. at least with new-coming bands you can give them the moral support of attending their shows or buying their music because chances are, they don't have a lot of fans and are struggling to find any reason to continue creating any music.
