Watch your step, man. That fella is a mod now, and wasn't a few hours ago. He could ban your ass right now.

I know I was kidding. Honestly, I haven't heard enough of this group to make an infromed decision. I am tired of hearing about them, though. This Message Edited On 06.07.06

See my above statement. I know someone who has this, I'll probably check it out to see what all the hype is about.

All I'm saying is if you read the NME and tabloids (which I neither read) and you take that as gospel then quite frankly your a moron. In my earlier post I wasn't trying to get at metal fans, out of all music fans I find you the least pretentious. But still you get users on here who specifically troll anything to do with this band and inflict their opinions upon others.

Are the Arctic Monkey’s over hyped? over marketed? Yes, and oh what a yes, but that doesn’t take away from the fact of them being a great rock group. Best album of 06' for me easy in "whatever people say I am, thats what i'm not". Also a good ep here.
Whats not to like? Punk, rock, dance, pop, they have everything for everybody. This Message Edited On 06.21.06

I still rate this as EP Despair in the Departure lounge is easily their best song to date.

I actually think this is better than the album by about ten times.

for an EP, this just oozes song writing quality. The obvious exception is the lack of production values on "Despair in the Departure Lounge". If it has a full album of decent songs, I'd give it a higher mark

"They'll be nobodies within 12 months...."
'Since the release of their debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not in 2006, Arctic Monkeys have received 24 awards from 38 nominations. Significant awards have been the Mercury Prize in 2006, an Ivor Novello Award in 2007 and both Best British Album and Best British Group at the BRIT Awards in 2008. They have also won eleven NME Awards and three Q Awards and received two nominations in the 49th Grammy Awards.'-wikipedia
