There are moments here that border on sludge metal, like the track "Flood" for instance.

This is the best Tool album for sure. Cannot believe so many people are duped into thinking the later albums are better. It's just a damn shame they overshadow this masterpiece. This album has the absolute best vocals of any Tool album hands down. And whoever mentioned the flow of this was absolutely correct. They didn't put pointless filler in this one. Just hands down the best of Tool.

I know I am in the vast minority, but for me personally this is Tool's best album. I like the compact style and the aggressive production.

After re visiting, yea not as amazing as I once thought, but the first half up to Crawl Away is stellar. I'll adjust this in some places in a bit.

Flood grew off me a bit but as I said the first half is perfect. Prison Sex and Sober are classics.

"Intolerance" is too.
