There is also some super super mediocre stuff in the middle. The chorus of New Devil is

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwful.

Evolution, Allure, Patience are splendid and they're the most accessible tracks on the lp. Still have to

get

in properly on the last few tracks (lot of good stuff, agreed) and Idle Minds - Miracle which I don't rate

much.

Such a long disc, it's tiresome to listen to altogether. Am I the only one who hates the speech

interludes? I guess it's people from the campaign that paid to say stuff in it. When the italian lady

comes up I always fast forward, she's annoying.

ps: production is good because they went to that godlike producer that did Karnivool's Sound Awake and tons

of other amazing aussie discs. I don't remember the name of the dude's studio but that's always a promise of

top notch productions. This sounds amazing on a great pair of headphones

Some songs, like New Devil, sound like Incubus could have wrote it. Not a bad thing though.

lol. I'm positive Incubus could never write a song like New Devil. Let alone play it.

Speaking of Incubus, they're actually set to release an EP in early 2015. Unfortunately, it won't pick up where Make Yourself left off.

Man this requires some conscious listening. Can simply not be background noise, otherwise you miss so much incredible shit.

Never thought I'd say this, but Mr Tompkins' vocals on this are quite grating, in some places. I'm having trouble defining exactly what it is, but it's more notable during quieter sections.

Grating is literally the last word I'd use to describe Tompkins vocals...

I never thought I'd use it, but there are little bits in this that definitely warrant the word, at least to my ears. The middle bit of New Devil, for example.

New Constant is an absolutely blinding closer. Hopefully they go down that route more with their new vocalist.

They released a new song with their new singer, it sounds pretty good, the vocals are great and it's not as boring as this release
