yeah i like how stripped down this is but conversely saturated with stuff it is at the same time. all the extraneous atmospherics and interludes from the last MV are gone but this thing is just riff after riff after riff and theyre almost all good once you listen a few times and really start to pay attention to them.

these guys have been going at it for almost 20 years and still are some of the best in the business. like i said in the review, i dont like their 777 trilogy, or the Liber series, but this proves that i just dont like those album's visions, they arent bad out of any lack of talent or ideas.

Agree with you Hype but I love their Godfleshian albums (777 series). Have you ever heard Odinist before? It's the perfect combo of their bm and industrial sides.

admittedly the album starts off on some lower notes but once you get to Forhist and Henosis it really shines. last 4 tracks are gold.

I think it's a lot better than some people are making it out to be, but it still is probably my least favorite out of the MV's. Solid release regardless. MVII>MVI>MVIII

Really Hyperion ? I think the first track is a great opener, that first riff is one of my favorites from he album. After all the listening this is easily a 4.5 in my book.

I'm just not understanding the bad ratings on this album. A 1/5, really? This album is as good to you as an emmure album?

because emmure is all 1/5 so if you think this is 1/5 then they should be comparable to you in terms of quality.
