Could someone point me to a stream of this, if there is one available? I bought the original, so I'd only want to buy this if it sounds significantly better.

--The beginning of the song is supposed to be changed right, I just didn't dl a bad copy? (The scream comes in earlier, goes back to the fast picking, and then finishes out the scream.)--

The original scream starts at 1:32 and ends at 1:54. The remaster goes to 1:47 and ends at 2:09. The intro fo the remaster is longer, but the screaming part lasts the same amount of time.

--And what is up with the vox at the 3:40 part now?--

The way you're bitching about the production and now bitching about phantom vocals, I'm still pretty sure that you stole a bad copy off the internet. Neither version has vocals at 3:40 (or anywhere near that mark).

Because the difference isn't huge. You really have to be listening for the differences.

Is the intro in the remastered version supposed to be 20 seconds longer, in that the grooving riff comes in closer to 4:00 than in 3:35 in the original?

So they changed parts of the song as well as remastered it? That's even more confusing since the song lengths for both the original and remaster are the same, give or take a few seconds.

Yeah is this right? I downloaded a version that does the same thing. The long scream is interrupted by the intro riff again, and then it cuts back to the scream again. That's not how the official release sounds is it? It's awkward as fuck I can't imagine why they would do that.

It is not how the official release sounds. Thievery has not been kind to you.

Thanks! And I yeah I know shame on me, I always support bands but the pricing for this release is ridiculous. 8 bucks for a remastered track that I've owned for years and have listened to 50+ times? It's two bucks less than an full LP of completely new material. That's just insane man I can't reconcile it no matter how much I love this band.

Listening to the Spotify version now.... I am hearing what you're talking about. That is definitely fuck-upery. I have the promo straight from the label and it doesn't sound like that. Plus the scream starts at the same time as the old version, not the time that the remastered version starts.

Yeah some reviews by people who purchased it on iTunes complain of the exact same defect as well. So lame.

They need to get that fixed. I'll e-mail their publicist and see if she knows anything.

He's not kidding, that avatar goes with everything. I'm listening to Master of Reality and it's perfect.
