Nope. There's plenty of melancholy on this. A lot of ballads... I think even too many.

Pineapple Thief without melancholy is like a... thief... without a... pineapple...

Basically I have no idea what they'd sound like without it

"The album cover rips off Blue October - Consent to Treatment, and also their 2008 album rips off Chevelle - Vena Sera. Lol, what the fuck?"

Lmao.

And for the record, there is melancholy on this thing; I just find it to be extremely poorly executed and cringe-worthy.

Ah well, have you heard Little Man? That executes it perfectly IMO and it's definitely heartfelt

Still haven't heard All The Wars but loved SHIM, how does this compare to those?

All The Wars was a logical follow up that takes less risks, in case you wanted to know. The final track is amazing

Nice edit now I look like a idiot ;)

No but that's pretty much what I was expecting given the review, from this review it seems like this is their worst in a while...

it was either you or me man ;)

The worst bit about the review is that it doesn't even mention a behemoth of a song to make anyone feel like the wait was worth it

The longest song is about five and a half minutes long.

Also I think it's hardly my fault that there aren't any long songs here ahahaha

@Talons All the Wars is an excellent album in my opinion, it's really similar to Someone Here Is Missing,

minus the electronic elements and with more prog; their use of the 5/4 and 7/4 time signature is brilliantly

done in some songs. The first four songs are basically perfect, so it's a bit underrated in my opinion

I'm definitely enjoying this album more than All the Wars, but not as much as Someone Here is Missing. At least they're back on track.

There's something about The Pineapple Thief's music that affects me right to the core, dunno if it's Bruce's vocals or that melancholic atmosphere but even when the songs are as standard as on here, I find it hard to listen to a TPT track that I don't enjoy
