Excellent album, certainly one of the better experimental extreme metal releases of 2014. The majority of songs here constantly remind me of Triptykon and Opeth, but obviously not in a copycat sort of way. My only slight problem is that the band sound like they're trying too hard sometimes, and so the running time could do with being cut by 10 minutes, but it's made up for by the likes of "The Deep" and "Lloigor". My personal highlights would be the title track, "On Fever's Wings" and "The Deep".

This album is quite sweet. The band has gone progressive post-black, a long way since their Stab Wounds days.

New album has good jams

Yea I did a discorgraphy run of these guys and the new one is my favorite thing they have done. Really good pacing and prog parts while still staying super focused. I didn't know Morean from Alkaloid did the vocals in this band. He has a lot of command of the mic and personality I love it. I'm not a big black metal guy but between the good production, vocals, and of course songwriting it's damn good.

new album fucks dudes...and the melodic vocals felt very fresh in the genre...don't know any of band's previous work.
It seems super hard to tag...I admit that I was digging the hell of the tech death intro and wasn't expecting a BM bath afterwards X)

Yeah, new album rules.
"It seems super hard to tag."
Melodic BM sounds fine to me. However this album is more proggy.

true that Melodic BM may be their starting point...I can't help but to get a ton of vibes from other genres, though m/

Thrash, prog and some DM are also part of the menu. These days everything is a bit hybrid.

Tales from Eternal Dusk rips but I haven't checked anything else by these guys. Need to change that.

Yeah, Tales is quite solid.

"These days everything is a bit hybrid."
yes indeed, and thankfully on my opinion, it turns everything a little less predictable...while being predictably hybrid ahah...
I loved the soft vocals on Spider in the Web.
Also the vocals on the verse on Pali Aike or Isa f.e. gives me serious Mastodon vibes, but with its own character and fresheness...
In the Deepest Time is also a main jam m/
