Yeah, I was a bit skeptical when I YT'd this and saw Nuclear Blast because they're usually pretty meh.

This seem riff pretty hard, tho.

Yeah man, I think you'll probably dig this one.

I mean the vocals aren't necessarily their biggest strength but it's not like they don't fit music.

True, true. These guys' last two albums were also pretty good.

I only remember listening to their old stuff. Most bands like these unfortunately wear out a lot over time.

Eh, Overkill is still going pretty strong after thirty years, and these guys are still pretty good. At least more so than the new Judas Priest.

Yeah, definitely. I also hear Iron Maiden is still ripping shit up live.

There's def. some bands that aged well, I mean DT is still going strong. Despite a pretty heavy style change.

Black Sabbath has also been making somewhat of a comeback, although not as much as DT or Maiden, per se.

Can't say I'm too big on Sabbath. Same goes for Metallica tbh.

I mean they've got their good material and they're influential as shit and somesuch and so on but they're also a bit worn and in terms of their overall discography a lot more inconsisten than bands like Maiden, DT, Accept and so on.

Eh, I love both bands tbh, but I can see where you're coming from. I personally don't mind inconsistency too much.

It's not the inconsistency, it's just the result which is a very monotonous range of good stuff they have, i.e. good stuff that will be played. I have probably heard more Metallica songs on parties than of all the other metal bands combined.

Fair enough. Post-1991 Metallica is pretty meh, to be entirely honest.

Exactly. So either you get the good stuff, which gets old at some point or you get the shitty stuff. Compare that with a consistent discography and you can change things up.

Well, Sabbath was pretty inconsistent with their first 6 albums, and they're all pretty great albums. Then again, though, they were pretty inconsistent with the rest of their discography, and look at how that turned out........

hell ya man! not all of it though. For their oldschool stuff, I've heard Balls to the Wall and Metal Heart (both rule). I also thought 2010's blood of the nations was pretty good too

Agreed dude. Breaker and Restless and Wild are also excellent albums. Their oldschool stuff is definitely where it's at for me even though they've released some solid albums since their reunion.
