I have never found Weird Al to be incredibly funny but it's more for my disdain for people who make parody music and entertainment in general. I would rather spend my cash on an artist who is releasing segments of their souls to the world in a meaningful way. I'm sure my girlfriend will force me to jam this as she is a fan of Weird Al, and like most of his work I will find a few positives. His early work has moments(Addicted to Spuds, I'm Fat) and I can see the market for his humor, but this genre just is not for me.
On a side note, solid review as a whole and there is a compelling argument presented to listen to the record for fans of Weird Al. Which is the point. Consider it Pos'd.

"I would rather spend my cash on an artist who is releasing segments of their souls to the world in a meaningful way."
I get that, though I personally believe comedians are some of the most important people in the entertainment industry. If we didn't have the ability to laugh at pop culture, life would be a lot more boring.
On a personal note, I thought Tacky was a great parody because that's also my personal opinion of many people I've met who insist on dancing in public to Happy. A lot of them dress like colorblind circus performers and dance badly while glancing around trying to see if anybody's looking at them.

I actually thought the polka medley was terrible compared to his other ones

I guess I worded my statement less than satisfactory considering he is expressing himself in a way that honest, which is refreshing compared to most top 40 artists who sacrifice vision for record sales. I meant to make it come out as I am more into perspective-led music as opposed to music with less of a direction. I like comedy in general and love humor in the rap/hip-hop genre. His attack on humor and other artists can be a bit tacky like he states in his music, which leads to his level of authenticity at least. Didn't mean to disrespect him as an artist in any way. Heck, I could not imagine releasing music, little lone make a career of it. Which he has done with decent success.

I thought the originals were a little weak on the first listen but on the 2nd and 3rd they're growing into some of my favorite tracks. Jackson Park Express, My Own Eyes and Mission Statement are hilarious.

Good review mr. Calc. Haven't really listened to him since bad hair day

Surely the parody of Thicke (Word Crimes) deserves a mention in the review, even just for the exceptionally clever name? Pos'd, though.

These parodies are like ten times catchier than the original songs.

The Tacky video was pretty great. Jack Black's heel clicks might have been the best part of that.
