This is the least boring radio rock album I've heard in a long time, outside of Chevelle's new album

This reminds me of what Sick Puppies could be if they refined their sound and moved away from the pop aspect. This is powerful.

Hmmm, I'm afraid this'll end up being nothing more (no pun intended :P) than a typical alt rock album. Though "Christ Copyright" is a jam of a song.

Gotta admit though, This Is The Time is a pretty awesome track

Seriously love most of this album. I must admit Friendly Fire starts off a little weak, but the chorus is worth listening to the entire song for. Probably one of the best choruses on the entire album.
'I'll be Ok' is soul wrenchingly awesome too, I would say it is the second most powerful song on the album behind God Went North. These two are right up there with songs that I can almost feel the emotion of them flooding out of the speakers.
After listening to this album so many times, I've begun to think that the songs with names in the titles are being "sung" by the family members to each other after something happens to their mother and arguments then blame starts.
The family consists of Jenny and Matthew and their mother. The Matthew Effect is being sung by Jenny and the song Jenny is sung from Matthew's point of view. 'God Went North' is probably the family coming together at the end.
I may just be over-analysing it but this album is still Fcuking awesome.

God Went North is about the singer and his mothers battle with cancer. I don't think there's a concept around Jenny or Matthew.
