this is incredible. absolutely love this. i think my fav mayhem besides dmds. i love how they kept the weirdness and progressive aspects from the blasphemer era and just streamlined it a touch. gave it some catchiness but still out there. love how kind of psycheldelic it is. attila is just a man possessed on this. ridiculous performance. watchers might be their best song and psywar isn't far behind. trinity is great as well, hell of an opening trio.
also the production is perfect, this is how you do raw but still clear. sounds amazing. the concept of conspiracy theories and the occult work so well together as well. mayhem really know how to capture an atmosphere.

Yeah buddy! This one does indeed go hard. Freaky esoteric black metal rips and Mayhem did it really well. It's too bad they decided not to incorporate much of this into their more recent stuff.

still interested in the next two, i'm sure they are good. but i do love how experimental and weird this run of albums post dmds are, each are so distinct and different. attila is just one of a kind. what a guy.
