Shit is a fairly sick watch.
Not that there aren't some other guitarists around now or in the past that are capable of stuff on a similar level or better, but dude is still highly underrated.

Considering his singing as well, he's definitely an all-time double threat.

Finally getting around to listening to this. I can see why there would be comparisons to straight
forward hard rock bands, but this is pretty unique. There are plenty of long instrumental sections and
experimentation to make it stand out.

Finally got the chance to listen to some of this, and while I can say its technically impressive (as always for Big Wreck), and they've got some original work goin down, it doesn't float my boat as much as albatross, or certain tracks from earlier works. Might need some time to simmer.

There's no filler.... tracks just keep growing on you.... so much detail and tastiness.... MONTHS later. Listening to the high res versions now... just magnificent.

You're just now listening to the high res versions?
Correct me if I'm wrong here BUK, but it seems to me that you're a fairly dedicated Big Wreck fan. Your comments on this website are almost exclusive to their (or Ian's) work, you have your own fan page/review site that you provide links to, and you've rated all of big wreck's albums a 5.
How on earth are you just coming to listen to the high res version of this, given you're so into their music? did you not buy the physical album? Furthermore, why would you settle for anything less than high res recordings?

Correct on all counts.... I should have said re-listening. It was an "in the moment" thing. I've got all the versions (including the demos Ian ran by me in the process)... obsession.
I DO listen to a broad range of other music, albeit mostly in the styles which strode on the stage in the 70's, but none seems to strike me to the heart like BW. Hence the relentless promotion.

I'm digging the devotion BUK. As far as (relatively) straightforward rock albums go, I haven't heard any that are better than this one in a while.

Solid as hell rhythm section
Also I didn't know the t/t had a music video, some really cool imagery there. This album is really good.

Well after some solid listening, I think this may be the best Big Wreck album to date...

"All Big Wreck albums are perennials... go back and listen.... they're quite timeless. iTunes is offering remastered versions of ILMO and TPAG. TPAG is STRIKINGLY clean and dynamic! They are an extraordinary band!"
This dude sounds like he's straight out of an infomercial.
