They just seem less inspired than before, but not terrible. I definitely like this.

Feeling a 3 after the first listen but I'll have to give it another go
It has the same lack of consistency as Living Things, though its change in sound is (once again) admirable

The album's pretty consistent imo, first five songs kick ass. Until It's Gone, Drawbar + Mark the Graves kinda break up the flow but other than that smooth sailing

Line in the sand will make you change of opinion, is epic as hell

The first five songs definitely rule
And yeah, I didn't get to the end... maybe Line In The Sand will bring up my rating. They tend to have very strong closers

I'm not gonna lie, the screaming vox in the first track were very exciting to hear. Reminded me of Chino Moreno a bit

Gonna finish the second half tomorrow it's pretty sweet so far. Pretty soon this will topple Opeth's spot on the trending section. Pleb won't be happy.

The scream in keys to kingdom was a realy nice surprise, voice tone of chester is different but still pretty consistent

Second half is not as good as the first half, the three worst tracks on the album are there but there's also A Line in the Sand + Rebellion

Haven't listened to it yet but it does seem really overhyped, I mean, I listened to the song with Rakim and it's pretty meh for me

"You don't dig the screamed vox?"
The screams were never that great, not saying they are bad but they aren't amazing or anything

Generic song writing in this one, same as in Living Things.
|

Dude, this is far better than LT and I really liked LT
|
| |
already better than LT only 3 tracks in

Dude Living Things makes me want to slit my throat. Of course this album is way better. I still think the song writing is generic. The choruses seem really bland and uninspired.
|
| |
Besides, war, mark the graves and line in the sand are far more experimental than LT. By the way, MTM,
ATS, Recharged and sweet hamsters are far worse than LT
