I love all of Mayhems albums. They're all good and different in their own way. De Mysteriis is probably my fave but if Wolfs Lair would've been a full length I think that one would've taken the cake in my opinion. The riffs were just so bad ass on that EP. I didn't expect this to be bad but I didn't think it would be as good as people are saying. I'm definitely checking this out ASAP.

Pretty nice review.

I'm not a black metal fan, I'll probably skip this one.

I am a huge black metal fan, but I have never cared for Mayhem.

I have tried time and time again, and they never click.

It's so sad that black metal isn't as intelligent as the bores of Canada.

idk this wasn't too bad. I think I like it more than their first album to be honest.

For me a slight improvement over the last album, which was pretty decent too. This album continues the new trademark Mayhem sound and seems to dabble with experimentation, making songs like the excellent "Milab" and "Posthuman" that bit more effective. It does get tiresome on soms songs with repetitive riffing but the instrumental performance here more than makes up for it, as well as the eerie atmosphere.

This is growing on me, but I think it's about as far as I can take it. I wish they would have stuck with the black metal meets Voivod of Grand Declaration....

This is probably my favorite black metal album to date, say what you want but this shit is great, much better than old mayhem in my opinion.

This grew on me quite a bit. Hellhammer's drumming is insane as per usual.

Why aren't people talking about this? It's fucking awesome. Probably their best since De Mysteriis tbh.

And I had no idea that Charles Hedger was in this band now. Pretty cool stuff, I haven't heard from him since he left Cradle of Filth.
