Wish I'd been here to see that, that sounded like a great epic fail.

This album is great; I prefer the old version of The Feel Good Drag
my thoughts exactly

Their best work.

"Paperthin Hymn" is still the band's best song. Damn, I could listen to it all day.

Re-listening for the first time in a while.
The problem, that first showed up in Cities, is that they've transitioned out of the pop/punk/alt stuff they showed in their first two albums. Everything they've done since has been technically good, but lacking the catchiness and energy completely. The first chunk of this album is sort of the best.

Second best to Cities for me now. Not a weak track on this.

This album sounded more basic and simple than the rest. Good though.

Dance, Dance Christa Paffgen repeats the line "Lips that need no introduction" from The Feel Good Drag. That was pretty cool actually

Paperthin Hymn will always be the best Anberlin song
|
| |
I agree sort of. It has that early Anberlin let-every-finishing-lyric-overlap-the-next-one songwriting quip that bothers me though. I swear, it's what keeps Fin from being perfect.

I think it works really well during the "over and over" part though.

I'm thinking this is a 4.5, I just need to hear it again a few more times to relish in it.
