Honestly, Gallows doesn't do much for me. Add Rusted Over and Henna Tattoo to the previous list. That's about it. And I've never listened to their first EP.



My opinion of this band is a bit different than most though, with Speaker being their best album for me, and Felony not being nearly as bad as everyone says it is. If anything, The Respect Issue is worse.

Yeah, The Respect Issue is just a watered-down version of Goodbye in my eyes. I don't listen to it that often, but the EP has some of their best songs on it. I used to listen to Goodbye quite a bit, Henna was one of my favorites. I wish that they would have modeled their style more like that as they kept releasing albums; I feel like they got really lazy and pushed the mosh aspect more than incorporating clean guitar tones and little electronic flourishes.

That's the irritating thing about this band. They have the potential to do pretty great things, but they are LAZY and opt for the easier vulgarity-ridden breakdown way out. Don't get me wrong, I love a good chuggachugga bro breakdown, but this band would be so much better if 3 or 4 weren't in each of their songs.



On the subject of guitar tones; I really really like the tone on most of Slave To The Game.
