"Satire, you say? This album was promoted as an old school heavy metal album since the beginning, therefore I think they knew exactly what they were doing. Also, in my opinion this album is way too polished to be satirical."

Foo Fighters' One by One was also polished quite a bit and that album was pretty bad. Frankly this and that would have been better if it was satirical because the Melvins are hilarious. Well, according to me, anyway.

"In fact, in addition to some plagiarism, we also find tracks like "Coming Home" and "Acid Rain" which are very good."

Define good. Because they're not original, technical, emotional, or creative.

"To put it simply, they did put some effort here, it's impossible to deny it."

Would agree. It takes effort to listen to old music and cover it with a spin~

"But they did went too far with the "rocking like past legends" idea, and this is impossible to deny too. I think they wanted to show that they can play some powerful heavy metal and, well, they did."

I would agree that they can, just not well. In my not-so-humble opinion this doesn't stack up to the classics whatsoever. It just looks like a bad attempt. Reminds me of The Strypes.

"Have you ever been to their lives? I think all haters never had, because these guys totally rock on stage."

I'm sorry? I didn't know disliking a musician was unjustifiable, unless you WERE that musician.

"I'm sure of this: their next album will be decisive. If they'll publish a great work, they'll be saved. If they'll publish another controversial work, their reputation will be crushed forever (but they'll never die, God dang they are selling way too much to die)."

Emmure and Nickelback sell music too but they're a laughingstock as far as the rock and metal communities are concerned.

"(By the way, Nightmare is their worst imo)"

First, this can't possibly beat Nightmare in any way. I mean, Nightmare is the only good album they will ever produce. All the songs share the same atmosphere, it contains some sophisticated metal, maybe even DT-esque in some songs, and it has creativity and originality. If The Rev was still alive, the band would maybe have continued in this more progressive way and produced another good album. But seriously, this is pure shit. Jimmy would cry.

"Have you ever been to their lives?"

I have.

"Define good. Because they're not original, technical, emotional, or creative."

We will never agree here, because I find that "Coming Home", "Acid Rain" and "St. James" (which I forgot to mention) are quite emotional. Also, I find "Coming Home" guitars to be good. If the solo isn't, then tell me. I'm not an expert, so I won't struggle on this.

"Would agree. It takes effort to listen to old music and cover it with a spin~"

You just said it. And that spin makes the songs listenable. Of course, in my opinion.

"I'm sorry? I didn't know disliking a musician was unjustifiable, unless you WERE that musician."

Sorry, I expressed myself badly. I was referring only to blind haters who will say shit on this only because it's Sevenfold. I'm not saying they are perfect or things like that (heck, they are not), I'm just saying that they can actually play and doesn't deserve all that blind hate.

Just to clarify: I'm not defending this album for his "great quality", I do think this is pretty bad. But the songs are growing on me with time, and I'm actually enjoying this after a long warm up time. And I do want to give credit to the band for that. Of course, it won't be much, but instead of giving this a 1.0 I would myself give it a 2.0, which is a bad mark... that can be saved with a better preparation for the next test (speaking in a school-like language).

Well, Nightmare is the one I enjoyed less (that doesn't mean I don't like it) before this new album (I agree, this is definetely worst than Nightmare). Sounding the Seven Trumpet, Waking the Fallen and City of Evil had the atmosphere too.

While I do want to argue openly, I don't want to discuss the entire band in this topic. But I'll say that I definetely don't agree with "Nightmare is the only good album they will ever produce". Instead, I agree with "Jimmy would cry".

Also, if I want to listen to Dream Theater, I'll go to Dream Theater... not Sevenfold.

Emotional strength is subjective, so I can understand. But I really, really disagree.

Learn how to read guitar tabs, and then look some up. It makes your understanding of the music skyrocket.

Anyway, the rest I understand.

Agreed.

Fine. As said, I won't struggle because I haven't the knowledge to do that.

"I'm one of those weirdos who's never listened to WTF (aside from Unholy Confessions) and thinks their s/t is great"

In my opinion, you should try it. Shadows' voice was better before the operation.

I'm sorry if my posts felt too much like a Sevenfold fag.

The funny thing is The Stage (2016) and Life’s Nothing but a Dream just came out and have the highest ratings in the band’s history. People on Sputnikmusic will overrate mediocre prog metal if it is a popular metal band lmfao.
