Why should it be that much work just to like an album? You're seriously going to tell me that to enjoy this album you have to listen to a 100 times? That concept seems more like brainwashing. Sometimes it takes time to grasp an artistic concepts "big picture". The fruits of such a venture into personally abstract terrirory can often feel wonderful BECAUSE of its foreign nature. Sometimes the harder you try to find something, the bigger the reward.

This album only took two listens for it to fully connect with me. So I definitely didn't brainwash myself. I connected to the emotional intensity the entire band portrayed on this record, and it's stuck by me for years. I love this album more and more each time I hear it. well that just isn't gonna happen to me. this album just has extremely boring musicianship and boring vocals.
it has nothing to me with my not getting it it's just the fact that there isn't anything hear to keep my ears, and i highly doubt that understanding the lyrics will fix that
