4.0 excellent
M.I.A. Matangi
A direct, darker, and forthcoming record from the Sri Lankan princess.
3.5 great
Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP 2
I can't believe I listened to what anyone had to say regarding this album here. The first thing of note is how everyone here seemed to pan "The Monster", which didn't even have one single cringe-worthy line and actually worked well. And when I say 'well' I mean way fucking better than the stuff he's already released as singles from the album - which happen to be the two worst songs on the entire thing. Next, he's fixed up his tone and dialed down the shouting which makes even the more cheesier lines easier to digest and enjoy. The album's a nice conclusion to the accumulation of fans, baggage, and lifestyle problems he's gathered throughout the years, and he plays homage to the music that inspired him to devote himself to the industry, the same way people drool over their goofy little favorite artists on a daily basis. If you're panning this album, you're missing the point, and if you're thinking it's the best hip-hop album of the year, you're missing the point too. But if you found yourself getting the feeling that it was still 2002 anywhere throughout the album, then give yourself a pat on the back and continue to enjoy this as it was intended.
1.0 awful
Arcade Fire Reflektor
I hope not because Cult Of Luna suck tremendous amounts of ass right along with the rest of post shit.

Two things.
1. Mac Miller is absolute garbage. It's easy to hate Mac Miller in 2013 if you enjoy good hip hop.
2. This (Because the internet) is one of the worst albums I've ever heard. I really enjoy Gambino's older stuff. Culdesac was a rough-around-the-edges, but solid release. EP was great, Camp had one or two stand out tracks, but was trash for the most part. Royalty was abysmal aside from his Kavinsky cover (which for the most part is only good for Kavinsky being a part of it)
This album however is straight up terrible. I've listened to it twice tonight, and only one or two tracks are even remotely worth listening to again. I actually enjoyed 3005 as a single, but other than 3005, the crawl, and Earth: The oldest computer this is an absolute piece.

Also - "I hope not because Cult Of Luna suck tremendous amounts of ass right along with the rest of post shit."
CoL is amazing, and I don't understand how they're even being mentioned alongside Arcade Fire.
