Are you out of your mind? [2]

No cage you can't possibly think they threw Kid A together just to make something strange and that it has no meaning behind it. Absurd.

Out of my mind? No, i'm just realistic. Radiohead fans are so in love with the band that they can't seem to admit when the bands makes a bad record. And not all Kid A is bad, but you have to admit most of it is just noise.

I'm brave enough to admit when my bands make bad records I said it plenty of times on this site. And if you think that How To Disappear Completely, Optimistic, Motion Picture Soundtrack, and Treefingers are noise then i don't know what to say anymore.

Those are actually some of the Good tracks Kid A enlist. But others like Everything in It's Right Place: he's just repeatedly saying the same thing over and over again. And when he says "I woke up sucking on lemon" wtf does that even mean?

You know the face you make when you suck on a lemon?

He woke up feeling like that.

Lemons are sour, basically he's saying he woke up with a sour expression on his face. Or something like that.

Edit: someguest beat me to it.

He pulled the lyrics out of a hat because he had extreme writers block. You're supposed to have imagination and come up with your own meaning and think outside of the block for that record. It's just not for you than if you can't do that. All the lyrics fall into place surprisingly well for the method he used. It actually is a method for writing lyrics.

Kid A just doesn't do it for me. I get the whole thinking out the box thing with the absurd lyrics and all. I don't even think that the lyrics are the most important thing in music.

The most important thing to me is melody. And at the end of the day, Kid A lacks melody or it just doesn't appeal to me. For In Rainbows however, it's a different story

Then it's simply not for you then. Doesn't mean it has no meaning, it just doesn't have what you what in an album. Not trying be a dick here, this is what I got from that phrase.
