This album is pretty much getting the reviews that The Discovery already deserved. Just a meh band in general

Discovery was alright but I probably won't bother with this.

What was originally one of my most anticipated albums of 2013 has revealed itself to be, likely, the year's biggest letdown.
However, all hope is not lost.
BoO just needs to go back and start rewriting the album based on the perceived possibilities of the preview we all heard.

Goddamn this is so boring.
I'm starting to wonder if Jason Richardson was the only reason Discovery was somewhat decent.

Hope resides in JR who is more than likely gone forever

I was so stoked for their next album, actually. Didn't expect it to already be out just like that when I entered sputnik today. Then I read this review. Already disappointed.

Oh, and btw Jacq, stop writing stuff like "they didn't bring anything new to the table" or "they didn't expand the genre". These are banalities, and moreover they are false. The Discovery was ALL about bringing new stuff to the barren table of deathcore. Oh, and btw they're not plain deathcore, which one could get the impression of by reading your review. They're like a half-assed deathcore-djent hybrid.

Listened to Divergency and frankly, it isn't very noticeably inferior to the stuff from The Discovery. A bit more Design the Skyline-like, though. Not a good thing, definitely. Wonder about the rest of the songs.

Linkin Park clean vocals was one of the first things I noticed just on the previews.
