That's my personal favorite.

I only write when Justin writes, he's my rival.

Yeah I'm starting a year+ series on contemporary British rock 88-13 for another website, I talked them into letting me mirror it here on a one week delay.

Sooooo. Sneak preview!! It's going to be The Stone Roses.

Great review but damn you're missing out if you haven't heard the rest of their discography

This was my favourite National at first. It's definitely their most immediate. But Alligator (!!!), Boxer and Trouble Will Find Me all have much more substance to them than this one does

hmmm I almost agree about Boxer and Alligator but I really disagree with TWFM having more substance than HV.

TWFM is a more interesting listen than this. To me, this gets monotonous at times

TWFM is more monotonous than this like every song is a ballad

TWFM has Demons, Don't Swallow The Cap, Fireproof, Sea Of Love and Graceless which are all among the band's best material ever

This is extremely consistent but there just aren't any STANDOUTS

Sort of funny how much I used to like this and how quickly it's growing off of me
