I love this fucking album so much. They have a new one coming in '16 which I'm pretty stoked for. Love the mix of stoner/prog/death metal. Really great combo.

rate it dude. This is like right up your alley.

This has been a recurrent jam since it came out, definitely brings the riffs. Really curious about the new one and in what direction they'll go

Bonus is ok, it's just the snakebeard ep tracks which are good but don't show the band in its full potential like on Heart of Oak

sweet, will check. That first single was pretty cool, slightly dissonant for an Anciients track.

I know right? Just came here to say the same thing.

Met their guitarist a couple months back with his other band, and I'm so stoked for these dudes. They're such genuinely kind and humble guys.

Seeing them in this tiny, tiny venue next Thursday, so figured I'd actually listen to Voice of the Void for the first time before seeing them. Holy SHIT what a pleasant surprise this has been. It's got a little bit of everything that I love in metal. It's well-produced, has well-written songs, the cleans remind me of...Mastodon(?), the growls remind me a LOT of Mikael Akerfeldt...I could keep going. I enjoy their balance of pretty, slow moments, fan-service chugs, and batshit-insane heavy moments that drop from nowhere.

Good stuff.

Maybe it's part of Canadian identity to downplay any exports we have. I just always expect less out of bands from here. So this is exceeding any expectations I had, and it's a bummer they're playing such a tiny venue in a week.

Oh yeah, I finally saw them and they were fantastic. Vocalist/guitarist has this crazy focus that made him look insane. Really immersive experience.

this is more of an easy 4 than the other...the altrock approach on this one (mainly vocally) set them appart from other progdeathmetal bands. Really diggin this one.
