This kind of music needs less electronic production. For example, imagine the first song but without
all of the added sound effects. It has the potential to be a really powerful song, but it just sounds
cheesy with the extra stuff when the base music is already really simple.
The third song sounds terrible at first, but imagine what it could have been if it were directed
differently. Imagine the lead vocalist singing that alone with more passion and less pop sass, as
various instruments play subtle melodies here and there.

Exactly. I am in no way a Fall Out Boy fan, but I can still get disappointed when the potential is
there but the end result is just a mesh of some good ideas and a crap coating.

I'll just reiterate my earlier opinions.
dafug is this? It sounds like I'm listening to Taylor Swift mixed with Panic At The Disco filtered through Paramore.
The only song I almost kinda don't hate with as much passion as the rest of the album is Young Volcanoes... That fucking "singing gleefully in unison from a basement or attic or something far away" shit is the most annoying thing I've ever heard. They do it in just about EVERY song.

As if FOB was one of my favorite bands...if I didn't like this, I'd give it a 2 or less and be done with it.

It's energetic, catchy, and well-executed synthpop that happens to occasionally have rock elements. Stump's good at writing pop songs.
