this album just screams 'meh' to me, and this is coming from a Disturbed fan

I find this personally to be beyond shit

"I'm not a David fan. He constantly comes off like a rock star douche bag in interviews and his choruses and vocal melodies all sound roughly similar, but he does his narrow vocal style well. Also, with this being a more industrial sounding album, the chugging should be expected -- it just should have been augmented with more background electronics."
I never saw him as that but meh.
I just find the chugging annoying.

Because he is one. :D

I do kind of want this band to continue because it could be taken in so many different directions.

I'll give you that, it's nothing exceptional musically but I still think this is a bit of fun and as someone who started off with Disturbed I have a soft spot for Draiman.

When there are bands like Fear Factory, or even Nine Inch Nails it makes me wonder how this thing can exist. I think those two are fairly close to mainstream and just all around better.

Haze is the only thing I remember from this since I last heard it in 2013.
