its still a decent listen though. but imo... this > boat party. have yet to hear omar S' previous
stuff.

About 2013 Kyle Hall releases: his RA mix is interesting since it sounds similar to the boat party (more raw, actually) but it's more cohesive.

No, I was talking about The Boat Party and now I just mentioned the RA mix ;). Sometimes it's (it=RA Mix) barely listenable, though. He recorded it on tape so the sound is sometimes fucked up. But I guess it's "part of the concept"

Totally agree. I understand Boat Party's aim, but it's far too aggressive and harsh for my tastes, this however, while some may claim is Omar S has somewhat declined is one of my favorites albums this year.
