Haven't seen Foo Fighters yet, unfortunately. Hopefully, I'll get the chance someday.

I'm seeing the Gaslight Anthem for the first time next week, so I'm glad you wrote that, Ed!

Biffy Clyro usually puts on majestic shows as well

Gaslight anthem is very down to earth, but really fucking good.

Jam Room on Fire too Yankee.

They opened themselves up too much, not cohesive anymore.

Room on Fire rules hard, agreed. So does the Gaslight Anthem

I really wish I'd made my way up to Wisconsin a couple of years ago to see them at that Pearl Jam thing, because now I'm starting to think I won't have another chance to see them live.

This was probably the best outcome after Angles. At least I remember more from this album, the last one was so forgettable.

it was the worst outcome after angels. Angels sounded like a band which goes through a transition. This sounds like the strokes are lost in translation.

Well this was a boring album. This is the Strokes not giving a shit, but at least they seem to be acknowledging it. Maybe after a good long break they'll make something worthwhile again.

Good review. From what I've heard they do need a direction change.

Expected it to be better than their last two (not that that's such an accomplishment), but nowhere near their first two

i thought this was really catchy. it does have some duds but i really enjoy tap out, one way trigger, chances, happy ending, and call it fate call it karma

still gotta hear angles and first impressions by these guys

Is This It was the soundtrack to my 4th grade, so they hold a special place in my heart. different, for sure, but i can't see how this is boring or bland. die-hard strokes fans will find a lot to enjoy.

I actually really liked this album. Was expecting some kind of brain death given the criticisms of it, but found it to be really addictive. "50/50" is just a massive dud, the rest is fine by me.
