I have to say it! It's a great album, especially for the first recod, no doubt about it. But there is to much aimless guitar wankery for my taste. Guitar wankery that doesn't go nowhere. Only when they step off of the gas pedal, and slow things down, that's when the stuff gets interesting. Stuff like Crush. And Snail. Snail is all guitars and stuff, but man, it's more focused (honestly, i really don't know what I'm talking about), but man. It has direction. One of the best things Billy have ever done.

You appreciate the good stuff, ignore the rest. You raise your beer and drink to your heroes (to your heroes when they were still good) and that's it. Simple, you have it, then you can't hack it anymore. That's life. Raise your beer(s) to the good times, bad times will come later. Then they'll dissapear. Good times will come again. No reason whatsoever, to cling to the bad stuff, Remember and cherish those things that matter. Reload doesn't matter. But Ride The Lightning sure as shit does. That's how it is boys.
