Ha that's sort of off of the subject don't you think?
But City of Evil is just an album that really affected me. It's technical yet has a lot of hooks, the songs are long and epic yet never tedious to listen to, it's melodic and fun-loving, and there's no filler at all.

COE is a pretty good album. Better than this one atleast.

It's better than this, but the last 5 minutes of The Odyssey (song) is better than anything A7X can think of.

no way in hell CoE is better than this

A7X has become a joke, and CoE was the start of that. SyX would slay them all and then write a 25 minute epic about how they did it.

Semi-metal? A7X is really nothing more than mediocre hard rock with horrible nasally vocals.

This was probably the most tolerable of my old reviews. It's kind of funny how the comments shifted towards Avenged Sevenfold, which was another band I was really digging at that time, but never bothered to write about them. I feel like The Stage is probably going to be their peak, I haven't heard the album after that one, but I think they hit their stride with The Stage.
