i don't care if AFI has made 'more hardcore punk than converge', I've heard two early AFI records, I disliked both of them, anything else I've heard from them has been off Decemberunderground which is laughable shit
and yea, converge isn't a screamo band, their not my favorite screamo band because that would be impossible

ugh ok you are clearly a retard so i will break this down for you
you can't say jane doe is MORE hardcore punk then it is metalcore because BY DEFINITION metalcore is the combination of hardcore and metal. they are a 1st wave metalcore band (I think) so their sound is more rooted in the hardcore sound than in the more melodic and metal oriented sound of later waves.
you can't compare something by saying whether it is "more hardcore" or "more metalcore" because one is a branch of the other
