Decent review, neutral vote.
Unfortunately, most Christmas music of our generation comes across as too gimmicky or over-
produced which takes most of the magic out of the music.

Ward never overdoes it on the guitar. He always provides just enough to add feeling to the
song without overshadowing Deschanel’s signature voice. Same goes for Zooey, she may not have the
most range for a singer, but she stays in her comfort zone, never straining her voice or going over
the top.
you need to read up on who was in the studio doing this, because it's not really she and him that
should be commended here
but there’s something very likeable about her vocals and they have a definite charm about

My only complaint is that it could have been better as I know Ward is holding back with his guitar
work. His subtle, but talented guitar playing fits the songs nicely, but I think he could have
provided more to the album without taking away from Zooey’s singing.
this reads as if you don't know whether he's playing enough or not. Or you do and you don't?
Work on the strength of your conclusion. it follows the "all well and good, except this little bit,
but nice album" thing that's in 67% of reviews.

I'm checking this right now. Zooey's voice really fits the songs and Ward really has a penchant for folk music.

I'm not that much into her acting (I only watched Our Idiot Brother to see her kiss Rashida Jones (who is way cooler than Zooey IMO), but she has a nice voice.
