No worries I've just always liked Bayside so I was bound to enjoy it

Edited this a tiny bit, I figured I might as well just mention every song since I already mentioned 4 out of 5.

Not a bad idea. Especially since it's an EP, you might as well just cover the whole thing.

Yeah there was just no point in leaving one song out just hope it doesn't read like a track by track too bad.

Nah, you don't do it in order of the tracks and you are specifically giving out examples instead of just rolling through them one by one. You're good.

Ok cool. Are you still thinking of checking out their other albums? If you do the walking wounded is one of my favorites.

Yea, but I still have a ton of recs from the last couple of lists I made, so not sure when I will get to it. Should I start with that one or just start rolling through their entire disocography?

I love Bayside but have a hard time believing this is worthwhile. Still, thanks for reviewing Atari.

Actually, Atari, if you have time would you check out my most recent list? I think you would be able to contribute to it, it has to do with melodeath/metalcore/post hardcore recs.

Album Rating: 3.5

Bayside are not your typical modern-day band, so nobody should have expected the predictable when they decided to record an EP of covers. Self-released through their own label, the quartet choose to re-imagine 5 songs from the 1960s & 70s which otherwise would be left untouched by contemporary rockers. Energetically performed with Anthony Raneri's distinctive vocals & Jack O'Shea's blazing guitars at the forefront, not everything may work perfectly, but this genuinely fascinating 15 minutes worth is more than just a time filler. If a Volume 2 does come to fruition, the song choices will indeed be interesting. Recommended Tracks: Be My Baby, Movin' Out & Oliver's Army.
