Surfer Rosa is excellent for sure, but yeah Doolittle is in a league of its own.

Doolittle is one of the greatest records ever made, few are in it's vicinity.

Nah Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, and Bossanova are basically all just essential and amazing. Doolittle is just the beginner album.

If anything, this is the entry level Pixies album, but that's not an insult, or a drawback, because all of their albums are really accessible anyway. Bossanova is probably the least so, but it's still not musically difficult.

I always loved Trompe, but it's still my least favorite of the original 5 (Come on Pilgrim included.)

My favorite Pixies album changes on the daily, but it's always one of the top 3...

I can't agree with him. Surfer Rosa and Bossanova are definitely better than Come on Pilgrim.

Especially since Surfer has the better version of "Vamos."

Yeah Surfer Rosa is probably the hardest due to how raw and offbeat it can be. But it's also why its amazing. :D

Surfer Rosa is definitely the most challenging one for newcomers, Doolittle and Bossanova are the most acessible.

Bossanova has their most accessible songs I guess, but taken as an album it goes into some pretty strange territory. But like I said, all of their albums are accessible. I just think Bossanova is the least.

it's a shame no one ever talks about trompe cuz it has some really really good jams. i guess it's just that it's not quite as significant as their other albums

Yeah, Bossanova is very spacey so I can see what you mean. Also, Trompe Le Monde is really underrated.
