Ha ha, I gotcha. That makes sense. I really enjoyed the storyline in 8; it was very involved. I just didn't dig that battle system. I love 9 though. I thought 7 was also pretty good, I just don't think it deserves all the attention that it gets. I guess it was the RPG that brought the genre into mainstream or something like that.

Seven was better than nine, man :/
|

Ha ha, 9 doesn't get much attention. I enjoyed it because it was a more lighthearted FF. It didn't get so bogged down in the melodrama like 7 and 8 did until towards the end when the stakes went up. Plus, the main character wasn't a depressive douche like Cloud and Squall, lol.
I also like X, the level up system was fantastic, but the main character in that one kind of sucks too.

This.
I'm 24 and have been playing games since i was literally 2 years old (my dad would put the controller in my hand and let me attempt to play the original mario). I had never once played an RPG up until 8 came out in 99. They just weren't that popular in the mainstream. 7 opened the door, and 8 was hyped to all hell. It was everywhere, and of course as a kid, I had to have the latest and greatest

I'm 26, started playing around 10 or so right around the time the original Nintendo was releasing it's final batch of games. My first RPG was Mario RPG on the Super Nintendo in 1996.
I appreciate 7 for that, but people just go ape shit over it. I've beat it 2, maybe 3 times. It's fun, I'll give it that. I just don't think it aged very well, when other older RPGs have. Oh well, lol.

| |
glad to see more people my age on here I'm 27
|
| |
yeah its not all chilren
|
| |
Is it mostly teenagers? I guess I never really thought about it, but it kind of make sense when I look at some of the things people say.
|
| |
it'd be cool to see an age breakdown. i honestly don't know. there seems to be a lot of people in their 20s too. i've seen a couple 30s and above, but not many.
|
| |
There are a lot of teenagers yeah

Where's the love for the 90's alternative rock? I want to review some more 90's but i'm not going to if i'm not gonna get any readers.
|
| |
i'll be 20 this month sputbros so get me wasted
|
| |
i'll get you wasted right now
|
| |
What else were you thinking about writing up Atari?
|
| |
good question. i just love 90's and it's fun to review old albums. wouldn't mind doing one for wallflowers bringing down the horse, marcy playground, meredith brooks, third eye blind, eve 6, so yeah as you can see i like 90's alternative.
|
| |
I could go for some 3EB and Eve 6. The rest of those I only know the singles they got famous for. I actually like 3EB quite a bit, I have their S/T and Blue albums. I used to love (still pretty fond of it actually) Semisonic's Feeling Strangely Fine album. I've thought about writing up that one.

| |
fuk yeah closing time is an amazing song. you should review it as it only has one review and it's a track by track.
|
| |
Ha ha, alright, you talked me into it. I've been trying to review stuff with 5 or less written reviews lately. There's a couple I want to do that have none. I should make a list so I don't forget, lol.
|
| |
Right on man i'll definitely be reading it. i liked your halifax review too by the way
