Once again, this was one of the few grrreeeatt prog rock bands to not be Brittish, but actually Canadian.

Kansas? I'd Point of Know Return is good along with Leftoverture. Although, I really can't say the Leftoverture is a magnum opus.

2112 side 1 obviously epic but i think side 2 is pretty average for Rush. My list pretty much same but would move 2112 after permanent waves. And id put Signals as no.1 but thats just a weird personal thing.

The only song I really laughed at on side 2 of 2112 was Tears. It was rather terrifyingly emotionally psuedo.

Most of the commercial side is enjoyable in general.

-Passage to Bangkok is fun to listen to.

-The Twilight Zone is some different. Rather intriguing, i'd say.

-Tears....I don't to explain that one....

-Lessions is a great Rush song with a varied level of talent.

-And of course Something fo Nothing is a good way to end the album. I still have to discover more Rush when I have the money to...

Rush? I have fly by night, caress of steel, 2112, a farewell to kings, permenant waves, moving pictures, signals, counterparts, vapor trails, and a compilation of Chronicles. I have plans to get Clockwork Angels as I've heard great things about it. I've still to listen to Signals and counterparts as of now...

You got a lot of the best ones already.

Get Hemispheres asap.

dunno if you like later period stuff but Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Clockwork Angels, Counterparts are probably the better ones.

I've don't have all of Hemispheres. I'm missing Cygnus X-2 (sigh) and Circumstances. Other than that, the rest i have. I'm all over the prog rock charts. Right now, I have a thing for King Crimson and Pink Floyd.

Well, cant really go wrong with either of those if you like prog although with KC probably best to get their debut and Red first and work from there.

There a prog website called progarchives.com that has an all time top 100 and thats good to look at for ideas.

Pos'd
"Another improvement is the fact that Geddy Lee doesn’t overdo the vocalizing either."
Is that really a word, or am I just ignorant??

Fantastic album, and one that used to be my favourite rush album, until I heard Hemispheres. The review was pretty good too.
