The new vocalist is so obviously inexperienced that it really squanders the potential for a phenomenal record. Stylistically, he is also so generic and traditional(yawn). While he is decent technically, he isn't able to craft many melodies or harsh vocal lines that compliment or emphasize what is happening instrumentally.



Compare the demos and the final(butchered) songs. Case closed.

Honestly I would hate this a lot more if they were a popular band like say Bring Me The Horizon. Until then, it's just bad music and not cancer.

I'm not denying that this album doesn't have its merits, but the vocals ruin them for the most part. Many of the criticisms I have with him are entirely objective. To a point, if you think he is a good vocalist, you are wrong.

Inclined to agree with NonApplicable. I don't see how you can flat out say the vocalist is phenomenal. I'm not a vocally trained musician and you can easily hear the inexperience; Rose tries to permeate the material but he just bounces further and further away from it. Decent singer, if with painfully run of the mill screams, sure. Room for growth, definitely. Phenomenal singer, lolwut.



Also, nobody but the band knows what happened with the vox situation so don't get your panties in a bunch over one party or the other will ya.

This is one of the best releases for me this year.

I love the grooves(and I mean this album really grooves) and the overall feeling.

It's the thing for me in metal music that just waited to long to arrive.

It's the way I try to write music but I don't get to the quality that this guys have!
